Just a curiosity, is anybody else running this on a netbook? Am I going to be underpowered for what we are doing?
My laptop isn't that hot, so I don't think so for now

Welcome... to another edition of...
Thunderdome!
erm
Learning Python, I mean.
here's the URL: http://beans.itcarlow.ie/prices.html\
http://beans.itcarlow.ie/prices.html
Sorry I am late, takes me a bit to transition. Besids, it is only 5 MST.
No worries.
So I have a question...Why did we start typing 'price=99.99' in the coffee program?
So that it runs once all the way through the first time.
*I think*
we have to give "price" an intital value
it could be anything about $4.74 in this case
so the while loop knows to start
We're all now having fun sending messages to Twitter. #learnpython
Is anybody working on CHP5
?
I can't get the final piece ot come together...help.
I don't think anyone made it to chapter 5 yesterday. We were a bit behind so people where hoping just to get through 4.
ValueError: need more than 0 values to unpack
anyone else get this error on a MAC for the surfer scores problem. This was splitting the data into names and scores:
So I'm really not liking this book as things get more complicated
I'm reading over the chapters ahead, then going back and doing them
Just finished reading 4 and 5, then going to actually write the code
the whole "guess what comes next" is annoying
Magnets and such
Just show me and explain it
I am still struggling to get the final piece of chp 5 working maybe I can spend some time on it tomorrow with a fresh set of eyes - anybody else?
Anyone on Chapter 6? I'm guessing that **.5 is the square root of a number?
python in practice. just put together some code to parse text data from a word document and put it into a format that is easily uploaded into excel. pretty cool!
season's greetings!
